According to the HANA Cloud Connector documentation, it is possible to restrict backend access to specific applications in the Cloud Connector administration using the Application Whitelist provided under Trusted Applications:

This works well for Java or XS applications using their name. However, if any of our Java/XS apps is added to the whitelist, access is denied for every HCPms application consuming on-premise backend systems through the cloud connector. Even testing via Web IDE of said apps is impossible.
Following the HCP URL name schema appId-hcpAccount.hana.ondemand.com we added:
- mobile (HCPms non-trial)
- webide
- webidetestingapplicationname
We also tried to add our HCP account name, as suggested in the documentation:
- accountId:mobile
- ...
The current solution for HCPms and Web IDE usage is an empty whitelist, which allows backend access for every Java/XS application.
So, how to add HCPms (apps) and Web IDE to the trusted applications?

Jan
