Hi Gurus,
When we talk about HANA development, we can either go for Java development, or we can create HANA Native Application ( HANA XS) applications. I am planning to develop a application using Java that will use HANA DB.
Now the application can interact with HANA DB by JPA (Persistence Layer) or I can create HANA XS services to interact with HANA DB.
In first approach, I have to use the application specific DB schema bound to my application while in other approach, I can use HANA XS instance for the DB and can create HANA XSODATA services or SQL scripts to interact with the HANA DB
Now my question is which approach would be better in terms of performance and maintenance. How can we choose between JPA and HANA XS enabled services for DB interaction. Thanks!
