The latest roadmap presentation for the HCP (HANA Cloud Platform: Product Road Map | Q2 2016 Update) contains a lot of interesting planned innovations, e.g.:
- MongoDB or PostgreSQL as database services
- "Custom build packs" for e.g. PHP or Python (Cloud Foundry-based)
- Support for virtual machines within the HCP
Besides, I also heard of discussions about providing a workflow engine within the HCP, which would be helpful for many use cases. Does anybody know about time frames or approximate release dates for those features?
