Hello Everyone,
Can anyone please let me know which data provisioning/ replication methods can be used to load ECC data in hana instance
on cloud hosted by SAP.
(Developer's account to be precise).
If not SAP Developer's account offered by SAP any other service provider.
I would just like to know the methods supported out of the following:
1)SAP LT Replication Server (SLT)trigger based)
2)SAP Sybase Replication Server (SRS) Log based
3)SAP Sybase Event Stream Processor (ESP)
4)SAP HANA Direct Extractor Connection (DXC)
5)SAP Sybase SQL Anywhere (Data Synchronization- Mobilink)
6)SAP Data Services (DS) with ETL .
From what I have read only data services with etl is supported with trigger based SLT for SAP DB's.
Kindly respond.

Pooja M.
Since a few days I get following error when I try to open SAP webide
In the past it worked fine....
How could this error be solved?
Hello HCP Experts,
today i tried to play with HCP (using SAP HANA Cloud Platform Cockpit).
However, it was not possible to create a Trial SAP HANA Instance.
Problem description:
1. Press link "HANA XS Applications"
2. Specify 'myinstance' for instrance name
(database is HANA XS, version 1.00.73.00.389160)
3. Press Save button
-> After aprox. 15 seconds comes error popup:
Unable to create trial instance 'myinstance': Internal Server Error (500)
Unexpected exception in createSchema() called with account 'XXXXtrial', schema 'myinstance', DB Type 'hanaxs',
DB Version '1.00.73.00.389160', and DB Server 'null'
----
One more interesting thing i noticedin HCP Cockpit:
- if i try to create Trial Instance then HANA version is 1.00.73.00.389160
- if i create new database schema (it works) then HANA version is 1.00.64.382044
-> Do we really use two different HANA systems in HCP (SPS7 for instance and SPS6 for schemas) ?
What is the scenario for such configuration ?
Could you please check and advise how to proceed.
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Yuri
Dear Colleagues,
we are using the HCP trial to build some prototypes.
Unfortunately, the XS engine of our shared instance https://s9hanaxs.hanatrial.ondemand.com/ís down with a dispatching error.
Can anyone take care for that and stop/start some services to get it up again?
Thank you and kind regards
Pablo
Hello,
I have an issue reading a destination from a JMX MBean. The same bean used through a servlet works well and returns information about the destination.
This is how I get the destination:
HttpDestination destination = (HttpDestination) ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/myBackend");
This is the exception I get when this code is run as JMX MBean:
javax.naming.NamingException: Name = java:comp/env/myBackendwas not found using the URL Context factory = org.apache.naming.java.javaURLContextFactory@4ab7127b
It seems like the destination is not available while in the context of the MBean server which is called through RMI.
I tested this in our real application which uses Spring as well as with a minimal J2SE application (see calle2010/testjmx · GitHub) based on Java Web 1.76 runtime. I also tested local deployment as well as deployment on hanatrial with Java Web SDK 1.73.
What Do I have to do to make the lookup of destinations work in JMX?
Thanks,
Christian.
Hi Experts,
I am going through open sap course on SAP Hana cloud platform. I need to deploy the first sample "Hello World" Application in SAP hana trial server. As per the instructions mentioned in course , I have tried to connect trial server through eclipse and facing a error which says "
Unknown SAP HANA Cloud Platform host was provided. Check whether the host is correctly spelled."
Referred blog SAP HCP openSAP course guide week 1 and tried to change the network connections using Windows-> Preference-General-Network. Used Direct/Native/Manual options and I still have the same issue.
Screenshot for reference:

It may be becuase of either of these two errors, I am not able to access database instance. Can anyone please suggest how to resolve this issue?

Hello,
I am attempting to install the HANA trial so I can get a look at it before we start the upgrade process next year. I am following the install guide I found here. I am also using the FAQ at http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-28325 . We do not use proxy here, so under Window -> preferences -> General -> Network Connections, I use "Active Provider:" -> Direct. I looked at several messages on SCN and I have either tried what they did to resolve the issue or it didn't apply (Like correcting proxy information).
After I installed Eclipse and sapjvm_7 on my Windows 7 system I attempted to add HANA to it. When I go to Help -> Install new Hardware -> https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/luna I get error:

I have 2 personal certificates in my IE Certificates. I used keytool to add those to the cacerts file in sapjvm_7/jre/lib/security. In Eclipse, I looked in Help -> Installation Details -> Configuration and I can see that I'm using sapjvm_7.

Hi,
I've used my Eclipse environment successfully to walk through a couple of tutorials and courses about HCP. Now, after a break of a few weeks, I'm not able to connect to the HCP trial landscape anymore. As far as I can recall, I haven't made any changes to my settings.
I'm working from the same locations as before.
My trial account is still valid.
I don't use proxies. I tried proxy settings Direct, Native and Manual (empty).
My firewall allows all outbound TCP and UDP traffic.
I try to create a new Server (J2EE Perspective, Server view, New - Server) or add a new cloud system (SAP HANA Development perspective, Systems view, Add Cloud System) or try to run my application on the remote server (Run as - Run on Server etc).
I get the error
Not a valid HANA Cloud Platform landscape host: hanatrial.ondemand.com
or
Cannot reach host [https://hanatrial.ondemand.com]. Check host name for typing errors and make sure your proxy and network settings are correct
I deleted my existing existence and was creating new instance and keep getting this message:
Unable to create trial instance 'opensap': Internal Server Error (500) - Error when generating certificate for account 'p1941118365trial' and HANA Trial instance 'opensap'. |
Hi,
I have several issues with my HANA trial instance:
1. My HANA trial instance shows Critical state for XS availability (since last week already):
https://account.hanatrial.ondemand.com/cockpit#/acc/i042229trial/pkg/hxsi042229/instancemetrics
2. Furthermore I can't delete the instance, the following error shows up:

3.: I can't access the repository, apparently I have no permission to do so from Eclipse:

Hi,
HANA instance of the trial account shows Critical status. HANA XS availability shows as Critical in the Monitoring tool.
Error: JMX CRITICAL - Status.details = CRITICAL Hana XS server JWE request failure: HEAD https://vadbjwe.nwtrial.od.sap.biz:8041 HTTP/1.1 returned HTTP/1.0 500 Dispatching Error

Hello Experts,
Are there two xs engines s3hanaxs and s9hanaxs for trial hcp account?
I have created an xsodata service in s3hanaxs.hanatrial.ondemand.com . But my colleague tried to create new hana trial account. When he tried to access HANA Web based development workbench he is on s9hanaxs.hanatrial.ondemand.com domain. Basically he cannot access the service created by me in his application because of the above said difference.
Is there a way he can access HANA Webbased development workbench on s3hanaxs.hanatrial.ondemand.com
Thanks and Regards,
Ashik
Hello all
I am trying to follow the steps mentioned in the document Try out SAP HANA Cloud Platform Internet of Things (IoT) Services (BETA) and step to Deploy the MMS application is a pre-requisite to assign the IoT-MMS role to the HCP user.
However, the attempt to deploy the MMS application using the Deploy Message Management Service Tile always fails with an error.
403 Forbidden
There is no further detail mentioned about the error other than the text mentioned above in Bold.
Any idea what could be wrong here?
Thanks,
Amol Joshi
Hi
I am trying to download SAP HANA Client Developer Edition as I need to access Python libraries and jar files so that I can access HANA DB from Python/Java for text analytics. I am trying to download it from the following url:
but instead of downloading the corresponding package, the site redirects to the following url:
https://www.sapstore.com/?original_fqdn=downloads.sdn.sap.com
And at this link I am unable to find the package.
Can someone please provide me a url to download the developer studio?
Thanks
